This week, print professionals from all over the world are being encouraged to participate in International Print Day 2015.

The global event, which is being held this year on Wednesday 14th October, encourages print professionals everywhere to spread the message about the power of print

Organised by PrintMediaCentr, the 24 hour event calls on the print community to get print trending and highlight the importance of print and paper.

The theme for the 2015 International Print Day is #PrintNOW, encouraging marketers, designers and consumers to continue using print in their communications.

Print professionals are also being called upon to share examples of print on social media channels such as Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn and Pinterest, to highlight the amazing, creative power of print.

You can visit the dedicated social media pages or learn more about the day here on the website.

Deborah Corn, principal at Print Media Centr and founder of International Print Day suggests: “Produced a cool project recently? Used new paper or substrates? Share and tag it! Have new equipment? Wrapped a vehicle? Share and tag it! Designed something spectacular? Saw some spectacular print out in the world? Been to a great print event or tradeshow? Show everyone through pictures, videos and posts and share away!”

Using dedicated hashtags #PrintNOW and #IDP15 graphic designers, printers, marketers, publishers and more are urged to fill social media channels with facts, tips, and amazing examples of print.

Here at Project Design Print we try to shout about the power of print all year round, but International Print Day is a great opportunity for us to connect with others in the industry whilst sharing tips, resources and knowledge.
